Saved...

Yesterday was my "assistant's" birthday, I told her that I was going to make her a cake, but since we weren't going to be in CAPSIC that day it would have to wait, tomorrow we need to go to make some reports and stuff, but it won't take us that much time, but I can't make it in the morning, it would take me more time that I have. That's why I made today.

The cake is a cherry cake, first time doing it, and I didn't prepare things before, I didn't have time to do it, fortunately I had the right ingredients to do it, and actually some things were just enough for it. I don't know what I did wrong but it was right before adding one of the ingredients (milk), I almost put in in the oven before realizing that I had forgotten that. The weird part was that it was ok without it, at leas the consistency.

I added the milk and it looked like it was pancakes mixture, I almost ruined it, the thought of starting it all over passed through my mind, but it was late already and I was tired as to go to the store, so I decided to try and save it adding more of everything, but I didn't have more butter, so I substituted it with some canola oil, there was no sugar either so I used some of the syrup of the cherries I used in the cake, I added more of the other ingredients with what I thought was the right proportion, before taking it to the oven I had to try it a little to see if the flavor was right, and it was.

Now I just had to wait till it was cooked. After some minutes in the oven it was ready, I made 1 big and 1 small cake, I cut a part from the small one since this one was for my family and it tasted great, it wasn't too sweet, but it tasted like cherries, it was moist and delicious (I thought it would dry since I left them the same amount of time), I was lucky I didn't ruined this, now lets see how they like it tomorrow.
