MMPI

I know I have been writing only about work lately, but this is the only thing I have been doing, in my other job at CAPSIC I have been attending 3 new adolescents, since they were sent from a school (not from the same) I have to evaluate them first, to do this I have to interview them and apply a series of test to either confirm what I obtain from the interviews and/or get more information that I might have skipped in the interview.

One of the test that I will be applying is the Minnesota Multiphasic Personality Inventory, one of my favorites for the wide range of information it can give, the only thing I hate about it is that it is way too long to apply in one sit (it consists of around 500 questions of true or false), but it is worth it, I haven't worked with this test since I was in school, but I remember pretty well how to use it, one of my patients (one that wasn't sent from school) is already answering it, but I don't think he might finish it the next session, as soon as I have it finished I want to work with it and see what it might show, but obviously I can't follow it blindly, it is only to compare with what I already know.

I know I shouldn't feel so happy for a test, but I love this part of the process, to obtain information, analyze it, integrate it and diagnose, of course I like to work with them too, but I really enjoy this.

  2. And I first thought MMPI was going to stand for Massive Multi-Player Interface or something game related like that haha
