Who doesn't love free stuff? I know I love it, specially when you least expect it. This afternoon I received this:
An invitation from Blizzard to comeback to World of Warcraft and experience the new stuff, I have this game since January 2007 and have spend a lot of time and money in it, and I don't feel that it was a waste of time or money (I would probably wasted more in other games if I didn't play this). And after so much time I still love the game, so there is no loss for me, and I have never been addicted to it or neglected anything in my life for any game.
At first I thought it was a scam and instead of clicking that button I went directly to my Battlenet account to verify if it was real, and to my surprise it was. Now, back in February I decided to stop playing this game for personal reasons and I know that for the moment I would not pay for it, but since that invitation was made I will take advantage of it.

I still don't think of coming back to the game full time, but I will play a little for this week until this offer remains.

im always amazed that they charge to play a game you already own, i find that crazy! haha
ReplyDeleteWell, for one part it is for the servers maintenance, bandwidth, constant updates and patches, customer service, new hardware for the servers and more things.
ReplyDeleteIf it wasn't an MMO like Starcraft 2 (and probably Diablo 3) they would only charge the game, but you do not need that much information on their servers like in WoW.
i know, that the servers require maintenance and all, but i figure that that should be projected and priced at the beginning....since the point of those games is to play them online...i think people would get a better perspective on if the game is worthwhile or not this way...but thats just me haha
ReplyDeleteI know, and I thought the same way before trying WoW, and actually I still don't like other MMOs, and I know that it is not a game for everyone, and thats the reason I never recommend this game to anyone :P, that and because it really can be addictive if you don't have self control.
ReplyDeleteSergio told me that you were addicted to it! lol
ReplyDeleteYeah, the monthly fee put me off of it. So I have never tried it. I still play WC 3 occasionally online lol I don't like MMO RPGs, at least the idea of them, can't say I have tried. I want to try SC 2, but really, who am I kidding....no time to play.
