The bad part was that the alternative medicine had way too much space compared to the other two, and that the organizers gave it the spotlight in the event and people were all over it, it really makes me sad how these people can believe in alternative medicine so blindly even when, and quoting Tim Minchin, "alternative medicine has either not been proved to work, or it has been proved not to work", as far as i know the little success that alternative medicine has can be attributed to the placebo effect rather than the treatment.

ifferent institutions that we work with, and that psychology doesn't have the same stigma it had a few years ago :)

ReplyDeleteYeah, it is quite appalling that people are so gullible. The same goes for the people that claim god or prayer heal people...does it really take that much thinking to see through it?
