Sick at work...

Yesterday I started to feel a little sick, these past days have been crazy, it has been cloudy, rainy, sunny, sunny with a little rain, hot and humid, cold in the nights, and thanks to all that I got sick, I didn't want to get to work, but I can't start taking days off, besides, I'm not that sick that I can't go out, just enough to not be 100%, still, this suuuuuuuuuuuuuucks so much and I want to be at home :(

Two monitors vs two laptops...

Having two laptops is not the same as having two monitors.
Since I have two laptops now I have been trying to work on some of my projects with both, but it isn't the same as working with two monitors, I have to manage two keyboards and two mouses, which isn't ideal.

The pros of having them is that I can (if I need to) leave one doing something processor heavy and still use the other one normally, other than that, I still haven't found something useful with them that I can't do better with two monitors, but I'll try :P

Clever pirates...

A few days ago a new game was released, Game dev Tycoon, I don't know much about these kind of games, I think that you are a game developer and have to make a successful company, or something like that that involves making money in the game.

One interesting thing I heard is that you pass through all the history of video games, from the commodore 64 to the PS4, and here is where it get's really cool, the developers of this game released a pirated version that they put on a torrent site, the main difference is that when you get to the era of digital distribution you make less profit per game, making it more difficult to get to your goals, this doesn't happen on the retail version.

I found it pretty clever from the developers doing this, make them see their part of the history on making games, and that pirating does indeed affect to some degree retail sales.

Testing new laptop...

Yesterday I left some games downloading to see how they played, they where Dead Space 2 and Deus Ex Human Revolution, even though I haven't played them I run them and adjusted some settings to medium and the screen resolution to 720p, I just started the game and they run smoothly, maybe not 60 fps as I would like, but they run smooth enough to enjoy it. There is just one more test that I need to do, Bioshock Infinite, I want to play this game so badly that I will wait till I finish the first ones, since this games have a good story I don't want to spoil the other two by playing the third first :P

And +Marisol Chacon  cuando se arma L4D2 pues? :P
I'm ready to kick +Sergio Valencias ass and yours in that game :D

Spam!!!!

Recently I have been receiving lots of spam on my posts, that's why I decided to make my blog private, I didn't think it would send emails to the persons I put that can read it, so sorry for that :P
Hopefully the spam will stop now.

Falling asleep...

Yesterday I just blacked out, I don't remember going to sleep, I just woke up when my alarm was on and can't recall anything, I wasn't even tired. I was going to download a game that I wanted to see if it can run on my laptop, but now I'll have to wait till tomorrow since it is like 10 GB and I can't download it here, anyway, back to work...

FPS...

Yesterday I received "my" new laptop, until yesterday I have been working on my laptop because the computer I had at work sucked, but yesterday I my boss told me that he already had  a laptop for me and that I could take it home if I ever need to work outside.

As the best and most dedicated employee I am I did what was obvious, install games to test how they felt, lol, I installed a few programs that I use, but since I already had games on my other laptop, I only had to copy them here.

First game I played was Diablo III, and it felt great, not laggy like my other laptop, then I played Darksiders, a game I have wanted to play for a long time (it is an action RPG like Zelda, or at least that's what I have heard, that it's like a dark Zelda, I only played a few minutes and it felt great, granted I didn't play at max specs, but for the moment I don't really care for that, that will come when I buy the one I really want, lol.

The laptop that I got is an Asus K43E, not a good laptop, but enough to enjoy some games that I wasn't able to play on my old one, the only thing I do like better in my other laptop is the numeric pad and that the screen is bigger, other than that, I welcome this change.
