So, I have been reading a lot today about the Higgs boson or the Goddamn Particle (or God Particle) and trying to write about it (for another blog I have :P), so far, I still need to understand it a little more, though, it isn't supposed to be a technical post, more like an informative one.
Thanks to the efforts of scientist the explanation of the standard model of particle physics is near complete, this thing was explained back in the 60's with mathematical models and just today (4th of july 2012) was enough evidence to say that it might be right (a 99.999999% probability that the data is correct).
So, I wont get into details right now, I need to finish writing the other post and I'll share it on facebook.

Weird measures to make people vote
So, today was the election day for our next president, something I didn't know was going out in the city was that some franchises decided to offer things to people that voted, for example OXXO, a 7/11 like store offered free coffee to the people that voted and Las Alitas offered an order (or half, I don't remember) of free wings to every voter, I didn't go since we went to buy some food after voting (all the family went together), but we sure went for our free coffees, I was still pretty tired and sleepy after yesterday.
It really surprised me hearing that they were doing this, I was even more surprised with the people that was in the store, there was many people, mostly young and I even saw an old lady (like 70 or older), maybe this is wrong since people should go to vote because they want to, but lets be real here, most of the people in Mexico don't even care, so I think this is a pretty damn good way of doing it.
And the coffee was actually good, not cafe good (or tenampa's good :P), but good non the less.
